My Bookshelf

One of the reasons I put my new blog up through Blogger was the availability of the Shelfari bookshelf (I couldn't get it to work on my previous blog). I had intended to put a booklist on my previous blog, but then I was looking at another pagan blogger's page, found a Shelfari bookshelf displayed there, and thought how cool it was to see not just a list but thumbnails of each book cover! So of course, I had to have one of my own.

I'd like to be able to show more books than the ones you see to the left, but if you scroll down the page a bit and click on the Next button, you'll be able to see more of what I've been reading. I think there's also a way for me to put reviews and ratings on each book, but that will have to wait until I have more time. For now, let me just say that everything you see on the bookshelf I consider to be well worth the time to read if you are interested in pagan spirituality.

If you know of books I should add to my bookshelf, please leave me a comment.

Another Step

Here I am, with a new blog. This is really a continuation of my previous blog, Pagan Dawn, but now that I have been on this path for over a year, I felt it was time to take my blogging in a slightly different direction. One of my intents is to make the subject matter of this blog somewhat broader, and to write not only about the "important" aspects of my spiritual life, but the mundane ones, too. And although I have a healthy sense of humor and can actually be amusing, I tend to "write serious," so another intent is to inject a little wit into some of my posts, too.

So-o-o-o-o-o-o . . . my first offering in the mundane/amusing (amusingly mundane?) department is a list of all the things I really should be doing right now but am ignoring in favor of getting this new blog off the ground:

  • Folding laundry
  • Working on lesson plans and/or grading papers
  • Sorting through the stack of mail sitting on the console table behind the sofa
  • Unloading the dishwasher
  • Getting the cobwebs off the light fixture I just looked up at
  • Writing a long-overdue thank you note
  • Making turkey soup out of the Thanksgiving turkey carcass
  • Stretching exercises for an ankle problem I developed last summer
  • Sleeping
Good night!
